She retired from ICMR as Deputy Director General Senior Grade and is presently engaged in promoting
bioethics education. She was and is closely involved in the formulation of the various national ethical
guidelines on research involving humans, stem cell research and other related areas. She was member of

several other national and international committees. As Dr. TMA Pai Endowment Chair for bioethics in

phase and first in human clinical trials including cellular therapies for patients with multiple myeloma. He
also has an interest in health policy as it relates to oncologic drug approvals and the cost of cancer care.
His research has been published in major medical journal including the New England Journal of Medicine,
Journal of American Medical Association, Journal of Clinical Oncology, British Medical Journal, JAMA

four decades and has developed it as the leading Centre of Dermatology. He is the Honorary
President of the International Society of Dermatology and Chairman of its Task Force for
Community Dermatology, Professor Terence Ryan, and FRCP Our Mentor is member and
Honorary President of the British Microcirculation Society and Director of the Global Initiatives
for Traditional Systems (GIFTS). Prof. Ryan is an adviser to the St Francis Leprosy Guild, World
Health Organization and the American Lymphoedema Framework Project. In addition, in the past

Network consensus group which has produced guidelines on the management of cellulitis in
lymphoedema. His research interests include the early detection and possible prevention of
lymphoedema in Breast Cancer, quality of life in lymphoedema, oedema in multiple sclerosis and oedema
in obesity.
A well-known dermatopathologist of south India has experience of 16 years in the field and
immunofluoresence of skin biopsies. She is continuously interacting with the dermatologists of JSS
