Homely care and guidanceThe air conditioned DPS Hostel, housing both boys as well as girls, in two separate blocks and serving separate vegetarian as well as non-vegetarian meals, is a home away from home.

It offers 2/4/8 seater rooms with modern amenities for students of classes VI and above and yet bigger dormitories for those of classes III, IV & V.

The hostel has two separate audio-visual halls fitted with home theatres and a common recreational arena with various indoor games like Pool, Billiards, Table Tennis, Gymnasium etc. Boarders’ laundry is taken care of by state of the art automated machines. Hygienically cooked food is nutritionally well balanced. Special Prep classes are arranged subject-wise where the teachers provide personal care to the boarders in individual subjects all through the week.

My two year journey in Delhi Public School Guwahati has been an amazing one. The sprawling campus of the school is so vast that on the very first day, I lost my way to my classroom from the playground. The school gave me the golden opportunity to be its Head Boy and become a part of an unbelievable group of students whom I consider to be my family.Coming to a city for my higher studies and then becoming the school Head Boy led me to a wonderful journey of learning and growth. Delhi Public School Guwahati has given me all that I can ever ask for. My teachers helped me in every possible way to bring the best out of me. My journey to Delhi Public School,Guwahati commenced in 2013,when I joined in Class 6 as a hosteller with a feeling of uncertainty and a fair amount of hesitation , but now I find myself to be a responsible and an independent person with confidence to take up any sort of challenges in life. The school has provided me with a lot of opportunities to explore myself and the hostel has taught me the lesson of togetherness. The teachers and the counseling team here are supportive and approachable.

The hostel has a friendly environment with comfortable ambience where children can learn and grow. It has become another family for me which I’ll certainly miss. Now, as I’m at the far end of my school life in DPSG, it is hard to accept the fact that I would leave this school forever but somewhere back in my mind, I realize that I’ll always be a member of the DPS Clan.

As parents we were confused in selecting a good school for our two daughters at class 1 and PG I level. Although here were many options, various factors were in our mind including better learning process, friendly teachers, good discipline and the enjoyable environment for kids. After some review of the available option, we selected DPS Guwahati. From day one, the kids were always eager to go to school. They could quickly adjust very well with the new environment in school, courtesy the friendly teachers and staff. The RFID based messaging system for kids boarding of bus, arrival at school, departure from school, de-boarding from bus keeps us at ease.

The school is taking keen interest in overall development of children in the form of extracurricular activities like sports, swimming etc. Besides doing a wonderful job in nurturing the kids, involvement of family members in the form of celebrations like Grandparents Day was exemplary as for many kids it was a good learning experience. We are hopeful, the school will emerge even better in coming days.

Education is no longer confined to the four corners of a classroom. Although our younger daughter was already enrolled in a reputed school in Guwahati for the past eight years, we felt that the necessary spark to excel in life was missing. And,
