DRUM PIN EXTRACTION
Step 1
Release drum shutter for unobstructed access to the drum
spring pin (see photo 2).
Step 2
Remove the drive hub-side blue plastic handle. Clean surround-
ing area with lint-free cloth.
Step 3Rotate the drum to position the drum spring pin in a horizontal
direction (see photo 3).

Step 4
Remove the spring pin guard from the clip on the side of the
DRPINTOOL2 (see photo 6). Install the spring pin guard over
the exposed section of the drum spring pin (see photo 7) in
order to avoid damage to the drum spring pin during extraction.
NOTE: Keep the alignment pin cable away from contact withthe drum. The alignment pin cable may damage the drum sur-
face if contact occurs.

Step 5
Position the DRPINTOOL2: the alignment pin slides into the
opposite side of the spring pin guide to properly align the tool
with the drum spring pin (see photo 8).
NOTE: The tool pin has a small spike at the end (see photo 9).
Make sure the spike fits inside the drum spring pin when
extracting and installing the spring pin.
Photo 10
Step 6
Rotate the DRPINTOOL2 shaft until the pin lock nut meets the
spring pin guard (see photo 10).
Photo 11
Step 7
Unscrew the shaft to remove the spring pin guard. Realign the
DRPINTOOL2 using the alignment pin guide to properly alignthe tool with the drum spring pin to continue extraction (see
photo 11). Firmly hold the tool in place to prevent misalignment
Slowly rotate the shaft until the body of the tool is firmly fixed on
the drum and continue to rotate the shaft until the drum spring
pin falls free (see photo 12).
NOTE: Do not apply excessive force. If there is significant resist
ance, there is probably a misalignment of the pin and tool.
Misalignment can possibly damage both the tool and the spring
pin. Reverse removal a little, realign and try again.

DRIVE HUB PIN EXTRACTION
Step 1
Locate the smaller hole on the drive hub spring pin indicated by
the flat side of the drive hub with a small spike (see photo 13).
Step 2Use the alignment pin guide to properly align the tool with the
drive hub spring pin. Firmly hold the tool in place to prevent
misalignment. Slowly rotate the shaft until the body of the tool is
firmly fixed on the drive hub and continue to rotate the shaft
until the drive hub spring pin falls free.
NOTE: Do not apply excessive force. If there is significant resist-
ance, there is probably a misalignment of the pin and tool.
Misalignment can possibly damage both the tool and the spring
pin. Reverse removal a little, realign and try again.
DRIVE HUB PIN INSTALLATION
Step 1
Place the drive hub spring pin into the larger hole of the drive
hub: pre-start it by hand (see photo 14).
Step 2Slide the drive hub onto the drive hub shaft aligning the spring
pin with the hole on the drive hub shaft (see photo 15).
Photo 15
Step 3
Use the alignment pin to align the tool with the drive hub and
drive hub shaft (see photo 16).

Step 4
Position the tool shaft on the hub spring pin and rotate the tool
shaft slowly. Hold the alignment pin with your finger until the
drive hub spring pin pushes on the alignment pin (see photo
17). Firmly hold the tool in place to prevent misalignment.
NOTE: Do not apply excessive force. If there is significant resist-ance, there is probably a misalignment. Reverse, realign and try
again.
DRUM PIN INSTALLATION
Step 1
Turn the drum so the square hole side of the drum hub is facing
you. Insert the drum spring pin into the square hole of the drum
hub (see photo 18). Use the alignment pin to align the tool with
the drum and drum shaft (see photo 19).
Step 2
Position the tool shaft on the spring pin and rotate the shaft
slowly. Hold the alignment pin with your finger until the drum
spring pin pushes on the alignment pin (see photo 20). Firmly
hold the tool in place to prevent misalignment.
NOTE: Do not apply excessive force. If there is significant resistance, there is probably a misalignment. Reverse, realign and try
again.

Position the DRPINTOOL2: use the alignment pin to align the
tool with the drum spring pin (see photo 23).
NOTE: Keep the alignment pin cable away from contact with
the drum. The alignment pin cable may damage the drum sur-
face if contact occurs.NOTE: The tool pin has a small spike at the end (see photo 9).
Make sure the spike fits inside the drum spring pin when
extracting and installing the spring pin.

Step 5
Rotate the DRPINTOOL2 shaft until the body of the tool is firmly
fixed on the drum. Make sure the tool and the drum spring pin
are properly aligned.
Step 6
Start extracting the drum spring pin from the drum, slowly rotat-
ing the shaft. Firmly hold the tool in place to prevent misalign-
ment. Continue to rotate the shaft until the spring pin falls free.
NOTE: Do not apply excessive force. If there is significant resist-ance, there is probably a misalignment of the pin and tool.
Misalignment can possibly damage both the tool and the spring
pin. Reverse removal a little, realign and try again.
Step 2
Position the tool shaft on the spring pin and rotate the shaft
slowly. Hold the alignment pin with your finger until the drum
spring pin pushes on the alignment pin (see photo 26). Firmly
hold the tool in place to prevent misalignment.
