Mar. 7 Summer Solstice in Alicante – Janneli Miller In Alicante, Spain the entire month of June is devoted to summer solstice celebrations. The festival in the Mediterranean city of roughly 300,000 includes hour long parades, music and dancing in the streets, firework displays, pyrotechnic explosions, food and beer booths, and culminates on June 24- the feast day of St. John- with the burning of giant statues all over the city. Dr. Janneli F. Miller taught a course in Gender and Health at the University of Alicante in the summer of 2018, and will share some of her photos of the festival. Come see why she calls it a "pagan festival gone industrial world wild." FREE COMMUNITY YOGA Open to all! Wear comfortable clothing, bring mat & water. A story time for lap sitters and crawlers.

Get 1-on-1 help with basic

computer skills, e-readers, Facebook, and more! Walk-in slots as available or call in advance to book some time. Every Tues., 2-5 p.m.

DPL’s book club meets the
