wHAT DOES THE ASSOCIATION DO?The.DBA.represents.nearly.2000.businesses.in.the.heart.of.our.city,.located.within.our.borders,.from.95.Street.to.111.Street,.and.from.97.Avenue.to.105.Avenue..The.Association.works.closely.with.the.City.of.Edmonton,.the.business.community,.stakeholders,.and.members.of.the.public.on.major.initiatives.that.affect.the.Downtown.

The.DBA.promotes.Downtown.through.various.advertising.campaigns.using.traditional.media.such.as.television,.radio.and.print;.various.social.media.initiatives;.and.a.website.

The.DBA.produces.large.public.events.that.enrich.the.life.of.the.community.such.as.Downtown.Dining.Week..In.addition,.the.DBA.sponsors.dozens.of.festivals.and.special.events.that.add.excitement.and.vibrancy.to.the.Downtown.Core.

The.DBA.is.one.of.Edmonton’s.13.Business.Improvement.Areas.(BIA),.and.was.created.in.1985.under.the.Municipal.Government.Act.
