Downtown Development Authority Newsleer October 2019 YCD Wireless is now providing free WIFI for those visiting downtown Ionia. Utilizing state of the art hardware mounted on the front of YCDs downtown Ionia location, they are now beaming FREE WIFI from M-66 to the DDA office. Now you will be able to use your phone when visiting the downtown and many of its new businesses. The WIFI is not meant to replace your existing service, but rather provide customers with the ability to share selfies and communicate with loved ones. Expect service speeds of 30mbps or better depending upon signal strength. The current hardware can accommodate 3,000 to 5,000 people at one time. If every shopping member of our community switched one purchase from online to a direct sale within an Ionia business, the gain would be tremendous! You can make a difference! Vendors will be stationed and open for business in the Armory / Community Center and Steele Street Hall this year.
