1.1 OverviewUnder one UTRAN, one ZXWR RNC can be configured with several series of data (that is,RNC Config Set). Each series of data has one unique ID. Each series of complete ZXWRRNC configuration data includes Ground resource data and radio resource data.
Before configuring the radio resource data, make sure that the Ground resource data hasbeen configured.
For details of ground resource data configurations, refer to ZXWR RNC (V3.09.30) RadioNetwork Controller Ground Configuration Reference.
ZXWR RNC The operations of the radio resource configurations are shown in Table 1-1.

The flow of ZXWR RNC radio resource configurations is as shown in Figure 1-1.

As shown in Figure 1-1, the procedure to create ZXWR RNC radio resource managementnodes is from up down, while the procedure to delete is from down up. That is, during thecreation, the sub-node can be created only when the father node has been created, andthe father node can be deleted only when the sub-node has been deleted.

1.2 RNC Radio Resource Management
1.2.1 Creating RNC Radio Resource Management
Short Description
To create ZXWR RNC global radio parameters.
Prerequisites
1. UTRAN Subnetwork has been created.2. RNC Managed Element has been created.3. RNC Config Set has been created.4. RNC Ground Resource Management has been created.5. RNC Local Office whose ANI is 0 has been created.
Steps
1. On Configuration Resource Tree, right-click RNC Config Set and choose Create >RNC Radio Resource Management, as shown in Figure 1-2.

2. The RNC Configuration Information dialog box pops up, as shown in Figure 1-3 toFigure 1-9.

Prerequisites
RNC Radio Resource Management has been created.
Steps
1. Double-click RNC Radio Resource Management to open the property configuration
page. Click the icon, as shown in Figure 1-11.

Click Add button to add parameter information on the current tab. Under this state,the newly-added parameters are not saved into the database.
Select a piece of parameter information and click Delete button. If the selectedparameter information has not been saved to the database, it can be deleted directlyfrom the tab.
If the selected parameter information has been saved to the database, the deletioncan be cancelled by clicking Undelete button.
3. Modify the target parameters.
Take the parameter in line 7 on the Advanced Parameter Manager.UE TrafficVolume Measurement Configuration as an example.
a. In Advanced Parameter Manager.UE Traffic Volume MeasurementConfiguration, double-click line 7 and a dialog box pops up, as shown in Figure1-42.

b. Double-click the target parameter. A dialog box pops up, as shown in Figure 1-43.

c. Double-click an item, and you can select a value from the drop-down list, as shownin Figure 1-44.

d. Click OK after the modification and the system returns to the AdvancedParameter Manager.UE Traffic Volume Measurement Configuration dialogbox.

The method to modify the parameters in this manual are the same as the abovedescriptions (steps a-d). It will not be mentioned in the upcoming chapters.
4. Click Apply to save the settings on all tabs but not to exit the current dialog box. Orclick OK to save the settings on all tabs and exit the current dialog box.

Steps
1. On Configuration Resource Tree, right-click RNC Radio Resource Management,and select Delete, as shown in Figure 1-45.

2. The Information dialog box for deleting RNC radio resource management pops up,as shown in Figure 1-46.

3. Enter the verify code and click OK. The system deletes the whole subtree of RNCRadio Resource Management.

If Create Continually is checked, the system does not exit from the current dialog boxafter creating a piece of Node B configuration information successfully.
If Create Continually is not checked, the system automatically exits from the currentdialog box after creating a piece of Node B configuration information successfully.

All Create Continually options in NMS have the same function as above. They willnot be described repeatedly hereinafter.
3. Click OK and the system creates Node B Configuration Information.

2.1 OverviewThe template manager is required when modifying the template parameters.
There can be several template instances and one default template instance under eachtemplate type.
In actual applications, it supports the functions of creating, deleting, saving, importing, andexporting the template, as well as the template comparison and template application.
The toolbar menu on the template manager is as shown in Table 2-1.
