We use it to talk about facts that are generally true.
The Use of the Zero Conditional
If don’t get enough sleep, I feel tired.
(= every time I don’t get enough sleep, I feel tired)
The Use of the first ConditionalWe use the first conditional to
talk about actions that are likely to happen in the future.
If I’m late, she’ll be angry.
(= Perhaps I will be late; then she’ll be angry)

The Form of the Zero Conditional
If I see a sad film, I cry.
Every time I see a sad film, I cry.

The Form of the First Conditional
If I see a that film, I will cry.
