Physical Characteristics
• The Zebra has black , white , and sometimes dark brown stripes.
• The Zebra is 45 to 55 inches at the shoulder.
Habitat• The Zebras live in deserts,
grasslands, and eastern or southern Africa
Food
• Zebra’s are herbivores.
• They also eat grass, bark, leaves, buds, fruits, and roots.
Protection/ Predators
• There predators are lions, hyenas, leopards, and cheetahs.
• For protection, they run.
Life span
• Zebras live up to 22 years in the wild.
Babies
• A baby Zebra is called a foal.• The infant stays in the moms belly
for about a year.• A foal weighs 70 to 80 pounds.
Cool facts
• All they Zebra’s are becoming endangered.
• The Zebra runs up to speed of 40 miles per hour.
