BIOGRAPHY

My name is Yuxin Chen and I am from China. I've alwaysliked drawing since I was a kid. Art is a major of my life. I amenthusiastic about opportunities to learn things that I do notknow, which I think is one of my good traits. So I am alwayspushing myself to do better. I work well both independentlyand as part of a team as I thrive when I can bounce ideas ofpeople to get their feedback and give me ways to improvemy art works. Thanks to my supportive family over the pastyears. I have pursued many years of specialized training indesign that would help me to achieve my ultimate goal in mylife, that is, to become a professional designer in the future.

Poster 2 for Chinese candy products with four fruit flavors: grape, peach, strawberry

Dickies is an American company sells work-related clothing and other accessories.

I worked with them to design this four cell comics as an advertisement in the magazine.

A brochure design for typography.

This packaging design is for a brand of fruit-flavored soft drinks products owned by

7-eleven. The design integrates the images of real fruits, which makes the drinkers feel like eating the fruit as soon as they see the

products.

CD COVER REDESIGN

This is a redesign artwork of CD cover of the Beatles. The Beatles is regarded as the

greatest rock band in history. The high-contrast pattern was used to express the

spirits of the rock music pioneer that never fade away.

WAYFINDING

I developed a signage and wayfinding system deemed appropriate in navigating

Queensland College of Art. A new logo was created and the campus and precinct maps

were reinterpreted.

I'm going to graduate from university and there are so much choice in front of me. So

i tell this story to memorize my youth and life in university. Maybe 30 or 40 years later,

when I find this zine, it can remind me come back to here. The story is a real reflection of

my life. The story is about a child's normal life. Life is a continuous journey and a process of never-ending growth. And since life causes

a lot of problems, life is always difficult and is full of pain as well as joy. The description

of each picture is on the back of the page. In this way, readers can have enough time and

space to think about my story, or give it a new life.

relaxing atmosphere for the customers.
