The ArcelorMittal Orbit stands at 114.5 metres tall, towering above all the venues in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and providing a breathtaking view of London up to 20 miles into the distance.
Envisioned by artist Anish Kapoor and designer Cecil Balmond, two renowned talents of their generation, the ArcelorMittal Orbit was originally constructed as a viewing tower for the 2012 Olympic & Paralympic Games. Today we are proud to open our doors to visitors from the UK and beyond.
UNIQUE VIEW OF LONDON With views of up to 20 miles, you can see Canary Wharf, O2, The Gherkin, Walkie Talkie, St Paul’s Cathedral, Alexandra Palace and out to Wembley Stadium.

EDUCATIONAL RESOURCESWe have a range of free teaching resources to lead educational visits available to download from our website. These cover key stages 1- 4 in a range of subjects, including science, geography, and art and design. Our team will also be happy to assist you with a risk assessment for your visit.
THE WORLD`S TALLEST AND LONGEST TUNNEL SLIDE!London’s most spectacular and thrilling new attraction and a faster alternative to taking the stairs. A unique, safe and exciting experience for your groups - travel at 15 miles per hour down 178 metres in a 37 second descent to the ground!
Groups of all ages are welcome, however in the interest of visitors` own safety there is a minimum height limit of 1.3 metres.

MEALS & REFRESHMENTSOur café, The Podium Bar & Kitchen, has a number of bespoke menu options, tailored specifically for school and youth groups. Depending on their budget and needs, we can provide your groups with many options ranging from packed lunches, to delicious hot dogs, fish fingers or grilled chicken, all served with chips or salad.
Groups can also buy snacks and refreshments and an indoor seating area can be organised.

COACH PARKINGThe ArcelorMittal Orbit has allocated pick up and set down points for coaches, 5 metres from the attraction. Please inform us if you will be travelling by coach when making your booking.
Coach parking facilities are located on the ground floor of the multi-storey car park in the north end of Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, just off Waterden Road.
All coach bookings must be made 72 hours in advance of arrival.
TRAVELLING BY PUBLIC TRANSPORTThe ArcelorMittal Orbit is approximately ten minutes̀ walk from Stratford Station (zone 2 if travelling from Central London). The route is extremely safe as it predominantly pedestrian (only one road to cross).
TFL SCHOOL PARTY TRAVEL SCHEMEThe ArcelorMittal Orbit is a registered venue for the TFL School Party Travel Scheme. To find out if your school could benefit from FREE off-peak group travel please visit the TFL website.
