ABOUT THE PROJECT The Youth Act+ally Project or "youth in today's world" depar:s ;om the
common concer= that Youth workers have today in Europe, seeing that our
young people do not know how to adapt to the changing societC, to new
migDation flows, the hate speeches towards the immigDants, Islamophobia,
etc. What is our role in all this? What do we do? In which direction we have
to develop as professionals to get young people fit peacef+lly and positively
to these changes? What are the skills we need? With this seminar we aim to
answer all these questions.
In October, during six days of work in Lorca, Spain, we will share space with
29 youth workers ;om 14 different countDies where we will discuss different
aspects of our youth work to achieve the following:
1. Understand and share the challenges that youth workers face when
working with young people, addressing issues of tolerance and inclusion,
taking into account the realitC of rejection and hate speech around them
and find ways to overcome these challenges.
2. DeterZine the skills required to build intercult+ral and interDeligious
dialog+e bet[een young people
On what we will focus exactly?
To ex\lore different local realities and sit+ations connected with immigDants
and ref+gees and their perception in local communities, especially in youth
environments
To define what are the skills needed to build an intercult+ral dialog+e,
mut+al understanding and peacef+l coexistence among Young people
To define the role and tools of youth workers (leaders, technicians,
educators) in the process of development of skills by young people
To provide a for+m for exchange of good practices, so that par:icipants can
lear= ;om each other on what is already being done in this area
To create an action plan to raise awareness at the local level among young
people ;om our communities and develop skills previously defined
To create a professional development plan for youth workers and
professionals of youth to be able to suppor: young people in this process
Through a progDam of work, tailored to the needs of par:icipants and
according to the ex\ectations of the par:=ers, we will create a workflow
following the principle of non-‐forZal education (par:icipatorC dy=amics,
individual reflections, gDoup work, sharing best practices, developing tools,
etc.) to create beneficial results for youth workers and professionals at

THE VENUE OF THE EVENTLorca is a beautiful small city in the South-East of Spain. It is called "the city of the sun" because it is usually sunny here. Anyway, at the beginning of September expect hot weather, so bring fresh clothes. This hostel is 15 minutes away from the city center and two minutes away from the Railway station Lorca San Diego. We are now in the process of arranging everything so participants can feel comfortable, but there are still things to be done. In the first floor there are the offices of Cazalla and also of Consejo de la Juventud.
LODGING in The participants will be accommodated in rooms for 4 to 6 people. There are 2 bathrooms, one for women and one for men. Please don't expect private bathroom in you room. The hostels provides linens but NO TOWELS so don't forget to take them! There is WIFI in the hostel, but you can as well get it in the cafés nearby the hostel. Please try to arrange all journeys and print as much documents as you can in advance. However, we can provide you a printer for urgencies (for instance if you have to do the booking online for the plane).

The bus (and metro also) will take you straitly to the train station. The train ticket, directly to Lorca, costs 58€. There is a possibility to book it before and it should be a bit more cheaper.
Another option: carpoolingAs the new programme is more flexible in terms of how do you travel, you can do it also by car or taxi. Anyway we ask you to keep all the receipts and invoices and get to the Youth Exchange on time. You can try on www.blablacar.es (always keep in mind that English is not widely spread in Spain, so a lot of people just communicate in Spanish).
