• GFK research (2012): 66% of sales is lost in case a title is in “re print” status at CB and waiting for new stock
• Visibility of used books (through online sales) is a threat for publishersIn case of “re print”, 45% buy a used copy
• A publisher who chooses a “re print” status at CB for its title to “investigate market demand” before ordering new print run (or use POD in between), is short sighted: a 100 orders in back order, results in losing 200 orders!
• An increasing number of successfuland best selling titles are now in POD

• We have enough potential titles “in stock”!
Paperback titels sales of < 250 ex per year = ca 29.000 titles with a yearly
sales of 1,2 million copies.

• 20.261 titles with stock sold > 1 year
