► 2008- USBLS report Wyoming had the highest occupational fatality rate in the Nation (UBLS) 17.1 fatalities per 100,000 workers >4X the national Average 2009-Govenor Dave Freudenthal formed the Workplace
Fatality Prevention Task Force. Which recommended state-industry partnerships
2010-Wyoming Oil & Gas Industry Safety Alliance (WOGISA) was formed via collaboration between industry representatives and organizations

WOGISA and WYO OSHA
In 2010 WOGISA and Wyoming OSHA formed an alliance to foster a safer and more
healthful work force. By developing programs regarding specific
hazard recognition and prevention with in the industry
To create a forum for employees and employers to work together to resolve workplace safety and health issues
HOW
► By promoting and encouraging WOGISA members to participate in Wyoming OSHA’s consolation programs and training (10-30 hour, 5810, EVTAP, CVPP, and SHARP)
► By encouraging WOGISA members and industry partners to build relationship with the personnel of WYO OSHA
► To Promote and encourage the participation of Owners, Employees, Managers and Supervisors in WOGISA Committees.
► TO share industry safety and health best practices through out the WOGISA organization.
► To present, exhibit or appear at conferences or events sponsored by Wyoming OSHA or WOGISA.
