Performing Arts EducationEmpowering youth to discover and explore new passions
Future Voices of New Mexico film and photography projectThrough Future Voices, middle and high school students from more than 30 schools statewide learn to direct, shoot and edit three-minute films or learn photography skills.
Students work with professional filmmakers and photographers in and out of classrooms to develop their projects. The 20112012 theme, My New Mexico, commemorates the state centennial.
In April, more than 600 excited students will attend the annual award ceremony at The Lensic. The winning films and photographs are screened for the audience, and awards and prizes are given for first, second and third place.
Future Voices of New Mexico is made possible through a partnership involving The Lensic, National Geographic All Roads Film Project and Santa Fe Photographic Workshops.
