How to Apply for HousingSTEP 1) REVIEW & COMPLETE HOUSING APPLICATIONSummer 2013 Housing Application are available for download at www.uaf.edu/reslife/. Housing is assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Space is limited and we recommend that you apply for housing early in order to ensure the best chance for you to secure your room. In order to process your application, the first 3 pages of the application must be completed and included when you send in your application. Please note on the application any request for a specific roommate. We cannot guarantee all requests.

STEP 2) SUBMIT APPLICATION, ROOM DEPOSIT & PROCESSING PAYMENTReturn completed application to the Residence Life Office. Submit room deposit and your application processing payment via check, money order, or provide credit card information via phone to the Residence Life Office. You will receive written confirmation of acceptance and a receipt for your housing deposit.

STEP 3) CHECK INTO YOUR ROOM AT THE CONFERENCE SERVICE DESK IN THE MBS COMPLEX You will be informed by letter as soon as a room assignment is made. The Conference Service desk is open 24/7 and located in the MBS Complex.

Questions?WHAT FURNISHINGS ARE PROVIDED IN MY ROOM?Each residence hall room is furnished with beds, desks, closets, dressers, shelves, and overhead florescent lighting. Common area kitchens and laundry rooms are provided as part of the basic service. Residents need to furnish their own linens (twin long sheets), blankets, towels, etc.

Financial AidGET HELP PAYING FOR COLLEGE THROUGH GRANTS, SCHOLARSHIPS & LOANS!Start by filling out the FAFSA: Before we can determine your eligibility for any kind of financial aid, you must first fill out and submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). UAF’s FAFSA school code: 001063.

Once your FAFSA has been processed, you may: Receive grants, scholarship or loan - if you qualify.

Complete the Financial Aid Authorization FormComplete and submit the Title IV Authorization Form (PDF) to the Financial Aid Office.
