Dear colleagues,
With commodities markets steadily recovering I’m delighted that, in partnership with the Ontario Government, we are returning to Toronto for our 2nd Annual Mines and Money Americas conference and exhibition.
For those unfamiliar with Mines and Money we are recognized as being the premier brand globally for bringing together investors with mining companies to learn, educate, analyses and evaluate, but most importantly of all to get deals done.
For those familiar with Mines and Money you can expect all the key components that make our event a world leader:
• Keynote addresses from thought leaders such as Ian Telfer of Goldcorp, Ross Beaty of Pan-America Silver and Rick Rule of Sprott • Leading natural resource fund experts such as Ani Markova of Smith & Williamson Global Gold and Resources Fund and Robert Cohen of Dynamic Funds, respective winners of the Mines and Money Award for best performing fund manager in 2015 and 2016 • An event that provides comprehensive coverage of key investment opportunities in Latin America • Major private equity players such as The Sentient Group and Resource Capital Funds • Over 50 mining projects ranging from junior exploration companies through to developers, established producers and mid-tiers • A tailored one to one meeting planner for investors and mining companies • A special pre-conference Summit on 2nd October focusing on Future Energy and Mining, covering Battery Metals (lithium, cobalt, graphite etc.), clean coal technology and energy storage. This day features a special address from Charles McConnell, DOE Assistant Secretary for Fossil Fuels under President Obama’s First Administration
Toronto is recognized as being North America’s centre for mining finance. If you are in the mining industry and want to get deals done, then look no further than Mines and Money Americas this October.

Mines and Money was established in 2003 with the key aim of educating and connecting investors with miners in a business networking environment. Our first event was in London, and since then we have expanded to Hong Kong, Melbourne, New York and Toronto bringing together thousands of investors and miners helping them get deals done.
I Impact of Trump and Trumpeconomics – has he ‘moved the needle’ as far as mining is concerned? Or is China still the dominant factor?
I Gold – If we have passed peak gold production what investment strategies and approaches should investors be adopting for both gold equities and physical gold? And what are the implications for gold exploration companies?
I Exploration – what is the future for exploration? In the downturn of 2012 to 2016 many majors cut back on exploration. Are they spending again? Or will the next big find come from a junior?
I Base and Bulks – where do the opportunities lie? Coal surprised most analysts as being one of the top performing commodities in 2016. For 2017 will it be coking coal again, copper or something else?
I Latin America – the rewards are there, but how do you balance risk? Which countries should investors and miners be focusing on?
I Battery metals – 2016 was a big year for lithium but what will happen in 2017? Cobalt? Something else? And how does this relate to energy storage and electric vehicles?

Sponsorship and speaker spotlight opportunities at Mines and Money Americas
Mining company spotlights – how they can help youMines and Money is all about deal-making. Critical to this is connecting junior mining companies with exciting projects with potential investors.
When you purchase a company spotlight as part of your exhibition package you get a 10 minute opportunity to pitch your company to investors.
It is a great opportunity to make a sales pitch to investors who want to be sold to.
In your presentation you should be covering:
What is the stage of the project? Where is it? What are you mining? What financing are you looking for? What are the upsides to the project? What are the risks involved? If you don't get any debt / equity financing what are your options? What is your management vision for the business?
For those of you new to Mines and Money over the last few years we have had over 1000 mining spotlights at our events. Many of them have resulted in investments being made.
From post event research we have done, companies that purchase a spotlight in addition to their exhibition package received twice as many investment enquiries on their stand.
Mines and Money – it’s where deals get done.

14.00 Panel Discussion: What happened to the interest in uranium at the start of 2017 and can we expect to see that enthusiasm return? How should investors be looking to gain exposure to uranium and uranium mining equities?

I What are the key drivers for demand – who is building nuclear plants & why? (Specifically mention China, India, Russia, Japan & the USA)
I How expensive is it to build a nuclear plant?
I What are the regulatory impediments to nuclear expansion?
Supply:
I Whilst future demand is sound, the spot price is at a 12-year low & arguably 50% of production is cash flow negative. With sales dominated by intermediaries, opaque secondary supply and inventory levels approaching 1.5 billion lbs what will trigger a uranium market recovery?
I Investors have a choice to invest in explorers, project ready companies or existing producers. They can also choose between different regions but typically it’s limited to North America, Africa or Australia. Where would the panel be investing and why?
I Geopolitically, it seems that uranium may still be too sensitive for some investors. Australia is a case in point its policies vary from state to state & between the political parties at Federal and State level – can anyone say where the country’s uranium policy is heading? Is it all just a case of NIMBY?
I What are the prospects for the number of uranium producers growing or shrinking over the next?
Investment strategies:
I What advice does the panel have on entrance and exit strategies for the savvy investor?
