VBS STAFF MEETING in Jubilee Hall
MAY 31, 2015 following the 10am Service
If you are interested in volunteering, please join us!
For registered volunteers who cannot attend, please contact me
to make arrangements to meet at another time.
WE NEED YOUR HELP! Here are some of the many ways YOU can contribute and help the children of our church community :
Donate Items! The VBS wishlist is coming, soon. Contributions are greatly appreciated and will be used, and recycled.
Donate Time! Are you free the week of July 6-10th? We could use your help! A congregation can never contribute too many adult volunteers to their VBS program!
Spread the word! We have put together a great program! If you know any children who happen to be looking for summer fun, send them to the website to register or email me with any questions.
The UMW would like to invite all the women of our church to attend our annual Potluck
UMW Picnic. Join us on Friday, June 5th, at 6pm in Jubilee Hall. Women are invited to bring their families to this picnic. Questions? Please contact: Jan Halman-Miller, 410-756-6130, or Linda Wood 410-857-4717. Please come dine and fellowship with the women of our church and their families .
Kairos Torch is an ecumenical ministry that brings the love of Christ to youth in juvenile corrections facilities. A team of adult Christians present 20 hours of intense interaction at a youth facility where youth are encouraged to remove the masks they wear and see themselves as God sees them, then undergo 6 months of mentoring by the volunteer members of the Torch Team. Plans are currently underway for a Torch weekend at the Silver
Oak Academy, Keymar, MD, Nov 13-15. Info session “TORCH 101” will be held here at WUMC at 9am on Sat, June 13. To learn more with no obligation, sponsor a youth, make a tax exempt contribution, or become a prayer partner, contact Delmas (Woodie) Wood, 443-487-1012 or [email protected].
T he Least of These Ministries is planning a mission trip to the
Dominican Republic, June 13-21, 2015. We will be holding a Bible School (interpreters provided), repairing houses, delivering food, and having a lot of fun.
Interested? Please call 410-848-2128.
