From the Principal..
Dear Family and Friends,
Term 1 has flown by! We have had a great start to the year, choirs being formed, local excursions, multiple sporting events, a book fair, Grandparents’ Day and more exciting educational experiences to follow.
It was fantastic to see so many families at our three way interviews. I know many families were pleasantly surprised by how well their children are doing. For those families of 2M, 1C and 5/6B interviews will be rescheduled for early term 2.
Thank you to the gardening club, what a difference you have made to the school vegetable garden. It looks amazing and what is most exciting is that the canteen have been selling the produce and our students are eating the freshly grown fruit and vegetables from our school.
As a safety rule, please do not walk through the school carpark. As children’s safety is paramount, I ask that you use one of the three front gates to enter and leave the school as opposed to using the carpark as a thoroughfare.
As week 10 draws to an end and we are all getting tired, it is important to remember that school attendance and being on time is critical to a child’s education. Monday this week saw 66 children absent and another 10 later comers. I know this is something that we are all working hard on but can I please ask that you make an extra
effort in week 11 to get your children to school and on time every day.
Wentworth Falls Public School leaders have been invited to speak at the ANZAC service, which begins at 6am on ANZAC day at Coronation Park, Wentworth Falls. This is a public service and all community members and their guests are invited to attend.
Congratulations to Reily Nicholson who is now a school leader, welcome to the leadership team.
The school photos have come in and it was delightful to see all the students in their school uniforms and looking so happy. If there are any issues with the photos please contact MSP directly, email [email protected] or phone (02) 9831 5505.
Thank you to everyone who donated eggs for our Bodington Aged Care visit. The prefects will be visiting the residents next Wednesday. They really appreciate our visit and gifts every year.
Tomorrow the Cross Country is at Pitt Park commencing at 11:30am. All the students seem to be very excited so I am looking forward to watching the students participate. Good luck to everyone.
I wish you all a safe and happy holiday. I hope everyone enjoys a
well-deserved break and are able to spend quality time with your loved ones. Students return on Tuesday 30th
April.
Yours in Partnership Renee Culgan

Hello Everyone, We are Weeam and Karina, Occupational Therapy students in our second year at Western Sydney University. We will be completing our professional community placement at Wentworth Falls Public School for the next 8 weeks. It will focus on developing a social and emotional tool kit, supporting students with emotional and/or behavioural concerns. Together, we will be collaborating with Learning and Support Teacher Ms. Helen Hodgetts on several strategies to help students learn at their personal academic and social/emotional abilities. You can recognize us through our red OT uniform. If you are interested in what we are doing and have further questions, please don’t hesitate to approach and talk to us anytime!
On Wednesday 27 March and Friday 29 March, Stage 2 stepped back in time with a visit to Tarella Cottage on Blaxland Road. Students experienced life as it was in Wentworth Falls in the 1890s. We would like to sincerely thank all the wonderful volunteers at Tarella who shared their knowledge of the cottage and our local history.
