editor-in-chief,
Merryn Somerset
Webb, is a highly-
respected investment
commentator and
author, known for her
contrarian views and fiercely
independent take on the financial industry.
Merryn started her career in finance as a broker
in Japan in the early 1990s, before returning to
the UK in 1998, where she worked in the City
before becoming launch editor of MoneyWeek
in 2000.
As well as writing in MoneyWeek every week,
she has a column in the FT, and is a regular
commentator on radio and TV, including
appearances on Question Time and the Today
programme. Her work has appeared in
publications from The Spectator and The Sunday
Times, to Saga and Woman & Home. She is also
a non-executive director on two investment trusts.
