An appraiser (or team manager) may stop the
performance if an unsafe situation develops - time does
NOT stop while the issue is resolved.
Team managers may not assist teams in any way
during their presentations.
Appraisers may move around to make sure they can
see important elements of the solution.
If the team hasn’t finished their presentation before
time ends, the TKA will stop the presentation.

34
Appraisers will inspect the solution materials and ask
the team questions to help them understand the
solution and score it properly.
Team manager(s) and audience members are not part
of these conversations.
Once the appraisers are finished, the TKA will invite
team supporters to assist them in removing their
materials and cleaning up the presentation site if
necessary.
Teams generally exit through the audience entrance.

Points To Remember
Team Manager Survival
• A month before competition, you will feel
that they will NEVER be finished. They
will, but almost always at the last minute!
• If for some reason the team doesn't
complete its solution by the date of the
tournament, come anyway.
– We celebrate what they have completed and
they also get to do an Instant Challenge.
