The Big Picture

The Basics• A reading and math lab are required• Receive .5 hour of credit for lab class• You will tutor up to 1 hour 15 minutes
twice a week, depending on which lab(s) you are completing
• Receive a separate grade for lab class• Your lab work will figure into your
methods course grade

Tutoring RequirementsThe Basics…
• We will place you with a student soon.• You will call the parent to find out about the
child and to finalize a schedule with the parent.
• You will begin tutoring within a week of receiving your placement.
• You will submit a lesson plan for approval for each tutoring session.
• Tutoring will continue through November.

• Meet the parent outside the Ed Lab. They will be coming in to sign papers.

and when they will pick up the child.
• Have parents see Ed Lab staff for any necessary paperwork.
