WEISERMAZARS2013 ANNUAL GIVING REPORT
2013: A YEAR IN GIVINGDear Colleagues and Friends:
WeiserMazars takes pride in being a positive force in the
community. As a team, we demonstrate our dedication to
serving others by donating time and funds to an array of
wonderful charitable organizations that are close to our
hearts.
Since 2002, our firm has donated over $3 million to worthy
organizations and our team members have dedicated
countless hours to making a difference.
We truly play an active part in improving the world.
The following pages feature some of 2013’s largest
charitable contributions, all of which were made possible
by the combined efforts of the members of our firm. We
are thankful to be a part of the larger community and wish
everyone a happy and healthy New Year. We hope for your
continued support in 2014.
Sincerely,
Back to School Drive

HURRICANE SANDY
When Superstorm Sandy devastated the East Coast, the
WeiserMazars family pulled together, collecting funds to
help those affected by the storm. Through donations from
our team members and matching gifts from the firm, we
were able to provide $61,000 to help employees who had
been hit hardest get back on their feet. We also created a
pool of $65,000 to be loaned, interest-free, to help rebuild.
Winter
Every year, we support numerous excellent causes by being physically
active. Through fundraising runs, walks, and bicycle rides, we show
our appreciation for such important organizations as the American
Cancer Society, the American Heart Association, the Sandy Rollman
Ovarian Cancer Foundation, the Katz Institute for Women’s Health,
Island Harvest, the Chase Corporate Challenge and the Color Run. We
are pleased to be able to help out these wonderful charities and keep fit
at the same time!
Last spring, the firm teamed up with the
Make-a-Wish Foundation to grant the wish of
Evelyn, who was diagnosed with leukemia and
wanted to go to Disney World to swim with the
dolphins. Through a generous outpouring of
support from our colleagues, we were able to
make Evelyn’s wish come true and even
collected enough extra to help other children in
the Make-a-Wish program.

Throughout the year, we collect food, clothing and school
supplies in order to help the disadvantaged in our
communities. By partnering with local organizations, we
are able to make the largest impact. Just some of the
many dedicated groups we work with include Coalition
for the Homeless, Community Food Bank of New Jersey,
the Family and Children’s Association, Cradles to Crayons,
Family Rescue, SCO Family of Services, Philabundance, City
Harvest and Island Harvest.
The holidays can be among the toughest times of year
for the disadvantaged and particularly for children. Each
year, our offices run special toy drives to ensure that
underprivileged children have a Happy Holiday. In 2013,
our charity partners were Toys for Tots and Women Against
Abuse, each of which received dozens of toys from our team
members.

We believe that education is the key to empowering the next generation.
Through a combination of educational outreach and scholarships, our firm
ensures that deserving youth receive the resources they need to reach their
full potential. Our team members visit schools to teach children of all ages
about the accounting profession and the business issues that affect our
communities.
