REMOTE TEACHING SESSION: 10.30am – 11.30am daily
Prep students will receive a 1 hour face to face remote teaching session with their teacher each day. These sessions will be
run using Webex and will focus on Reading, Writing, Maths or Inquiry.
The link to your child’s Webex meeting is listed in the table below. Instructions on how to access your child’s Webex meeting
are available on Sentral.
Advice for accessing your child’s Webex meeting:
• Please log on 5 minutes before the start time.
• Ask your child to organise the resources they will need prior to the start time.
• When signing in, please use your child’s name as this will be the name displayed to their teacher during the meeting.
• If you have any questions or you are not able to access the Webex meeting, please refer to the instructions available on

Holiday Recount
Talk to someone in your house about
an experience that you did on the
school holidays. Answer the following
questions:
When – When did you do this? (For
example; On the holidays…)
Where – Where did you go? (For
example; I went to the park)
Who – Who did you go with? (For
example; with my Mum and sister)
What – What did you do? (For
example; I played on the swings, slide
and monkey bars)
How – How did you feel? (For
example; I had so much fun!)
Ordering Written Numbers
Step 1: Write out the numbers zero-twenty, and their digits next to them (use the image below to help you).
Step 2: Cut out each number name and digit.
Step 3: Mix them up and have a go at re-ordering them from zero to twenty.
Step 4: Mix them up again and have another go. NOTE: Keep these for tomorrow’s lesson.

Step 1: Look at the front cover of the
book. Talk with someone in your house
about what you think this story might be
about.
Step 2: Listen to the story “Busting”

Step 3: When listening to the story,
pause half way through the book and
Ordering Written Numbers
Step 1: Using your cut out number
names from yesterday, shuffle them
into a mixed order. Close your eyes and
pick a number without looking.
Step 2: Have a go at saying out loud,
the number that you picked, and then
continue counting forwards up until 20.
Step 3: Start from the number that you
picked and counting backwards until 0.
Step 4: Using your cut out number
cards, place down the first number that
you picked on the middle of your
table/floor.
Step 5: Use the rest of the cards and
order them to make 0-20. Make sure
that your number line goes horizontally
(an example is below).
