Fairtrade Fortnight runs from 23rd February until 3rd March. The Fairtrade Committee are running a number of events to promote Fairtrade including an S1 Assembly, raffles,
coffee mornings etc. We are also going to put a wee quiz question in everyday over the next 2 weeks to see how much

S3 Modern Studies pupils are working on the Street Law project run by the Law Society.
Each week, Law students from Glasgow and
Strathclyde University work with S3 pupils learning about crime, the law and the legal process.
The project was covered by BBC Reporting Scotland
a couple of weeks ago. Well done to all involved.

Smiths Maths classroom).
We will still be offering careers interviews, college, university and employment information and the drop in service all from our new
room rather than the library. Mock applications/interviews will take place in this room also.

ALL DAY CAMPUS VISIT - GLASGOW UNIVERSITYFRIDAY 6TH MARCH
A reminder to all staff and UCAS candidates that this Friday is the Campus
visit to Glasgow University.
UCAS candidates should register first in their tutor groups and then report to Miss Logan outside the Assembly Hall.
Allander Coaches will take those participating in the visit from school at 9.00am prompt and, after the visit, depart from the University Campus at
2.20pm.
UCAS candidates who do not attend, without a valid reason, cannot receive a full Top-Up Student Profile and cannot, therefore, have their performance on Top-Up taken into account when applying to Higher
Education institutions.
