REQUIRED SCALES FOR RECITAL AND CONTEST, PLAYED FROM MEMORY:

WINDS and MALLET solos: will be required to play two of the following scales: Concert C, F, Bb, Eb, Ab, Db, and G, and a chromatic. Two octaves where possible.

STRING solos: will be required to play two of the following scales: C, G, D, A, E, and F, but no chromatic. Three octaves.

SNARE DRUM SOLOS: All non-mallet percussion soloists must play from the list of rudiments printed on the back of this sheet. The rudiments are to be played crescendo / decrescendo, and from memory.
