Who should attend
Professionals from all agencies who contribute to child protection enquiries, those who work with families experiencing complex issues, and/or anyone who has attended a Level 2/3 safeguarding course or has equivalent experience (please check with your manager if unsure).
Training contentThere are two days of training available and you can choose which day is best for you. The training outline for each day is below. If you wish and your manager agrees, you can attend both days (although there is some overlap in the morning of each).
CostThis training is free of charge (funded by the LSCB).
Venue
The training often runs at Netley Police HQ, but the venue will be confirmed along with your place on the training.
Refresher days – for anyone who has attended Safeguarding Level 3 within the last two yearsRefresher courses are a useful way of reminding yourself of safeguarding essentials. These take half a day and are available on:
