ThisproblemoffaultdetecIonismoreseverewhenwehavetofacecasesinwhichlargewaternetworkareimpliedandwhere,due the many variables coming into play, it could be verydifficult to detect anomalies or fault in the system. In thesecasestheModelbasedFaultDetecIon&Diagnosis(FDD)couldbe appropriate. This is the case study addressed at the Linateairport (Milan – Italy) where for the first Ime we mergedtogether a hydraulic model simulaIon with an FDD algorithm(ADWICE)todetectabnormalityintheoperaIonalphaseofthewaternetwork.
