The ideal temperature for a regular pond ranges from 65 to -75 degrees Fahrenheit or 10 to 15 degrees Celsius.
If the water is to cold or to hot the fish will die. So you need to keep the water around the ideal temperature for that particular fish/fishes.

What we think happenedThe water could have not been properly treated and could have gotten the sick which could cause the fish to die.The fish could have gone into shock from extreme temperature.The water pressure could have been to much.
