Single Skin on Rigid DeckingVicwest Roof profiles are ideal in applications wherea solid deck is available for support. Our roof profilesare adaptable to any solid base material such asplywood, steel deck or concrete. To prevent internalair leakage, which can cause condensation problems,Vicwest recommends the use of a good air barrierover the structural material.
System 1000For light industrial applications, choose the Vicwestsystem 1000 as an economical and attractive roof.Vicwest roof products can be used as a single skin orwith or without metal building insulation as required.
System 2000The Vicwest system 2000 roof provides anupgraded system with an L800 Liner sheet airvapour barrier and a wider range of insulationvalues from which to choose.
System 3000The Vicwest system 3000 roof is designed for almostall roofing applications. It combines all the elementsneeded for a high performance weather tight roof. Itintegrates all necessary roofing components andprovides a single source of responsibility for the roofdesign and construction. For a more economicalapproach, where the interior humidity of the buildingis less than 35%, the thermal barrier may be eliminatedand deck fillers installed to support the side and endlaps of the air vapour barrier. Caution must be exercisedto ensure that humidity conditions during constructionalso remain below this level.

Key Advantages
The Tradition 100 panel with the I-style snap-on capis designed specifically for straight sloped or curvedroof applications over a rigid solid surface. It canbe wrapped across its width to follow a contouredsurface of wall or curved over its length to form acurved parapet wall edge or a barrel vaulted roof.Tradition 100 can be curved along the sheet lengthto a radii ranging from a minimum of 1500 mm tofull straight.
Roof Installation & Preparation
Available in 400 mm and 500 mm widths theTradition 100 profile can be installed as a singleskin on a solid surface without installation or asan exterior sheet as a fully insulated roof systemdesign (System 3000). Please refer to the SystemProducts Reference Chart on page 4.
The surface to which the Tradition 100 is appliedmust be a solid, smooth surface, strong enoughto provided anchorage for the Tradition 100 SnapClips. The entire roof surface should be coveredusing a moisture retardant membrane lappedhorizontally, starting at the eaves, beforeTradition 100 is applied. Refer to the Tradition 100Vicwest Design Guide for complete design andinstallation details.

Key Advantages
The Tradition 150 panel with the T-style side lapis recommended for straight slope applications. The Tradition 150 is an excellent choice wherethe roof design possesses slopes as low as 1 in12 (4.77 deg.) or where snow build-up and waterpooling areas are identified.
Roof Installation & Preparation
Available in 400 mm and 500 mm widths, theTradition 150 profile can be installed as a singleskin, 1000, 2000 or 3000 system application.Moisture retardant membranes are optional withthe Tradition 150 system. However, it should beconsidered as a secondary precaution in potentialproblematic areas. Please refer to the Tradition 150Vicwest Design Guide for complete design andinstallation details.

Key Advantages
The Marquis system possesses superior insulatingvalues as a result of our thermal clip mountingsystem which reduces thermal bridges. Snap capbatten provides a structural advantage, results in amore water-tight system, and presents a traditionalboard and batten appearance.
Thermal clips come in a variety of depths fromflush mount to depths which accommodate up to254 mm of insulating material. Allowance to have10” of insulation with thermal clip system.
Gypsum board allows for a thermal barrier withinthe system, thus reducing thermal bridging. Noseamer is required and clips are fastened throughthe gypsum board to the metal deck below with#14-type AB S.M.S.. The number of screws tobe used depends on:
1) Magnitude of wind uplift
2) Spacing of clips
3) Thickness of the inner metal deck
Roof Installation & Preparation
Marquis is a fully engineered system. Itcombines a number of roofing elements thatmust be properly integrated to ensure goodperformance. To make sure the selected roof

This low slope roofing
system produces a
remarkably attractive
roof with its corrugated

separate systems to
provide energy efficiency.
12
Roof Installation & Preparation
TSR is one of our most versatile profiles. It can beinstalled on single skin, or on the 1000, 2000, 3000systems, allowing for varying degrees of efficiency.TSR is an excellent solution for achieving weathertightness on extremely low slope roofs wherepooling can be problematic. Please refer to theTSR Vicwest Design Guide for complete designand installation details.
TSR
Testings
TSR has UL class 1-90, ASTM 1592 and FMratings on both 22 gauge and 24 gauge for purlinspacings of 5 feet (1500 mm). And now the TSRsystem is one of the few steel roof systems tohave been tested under and passed UL 1897,a stringent wind uplift test standard for roofcoverings. Vicwest’s new rating of 140 poundsper square foot uplift (5.7 kPa) with no visibledamage will give owners great confidence in theintegrity of their roof system.

exposed fastener
Key Advantages
Exposed Fastening System is an economical choicefor roof designs on a firm budget.
Roof Installation & Preparation
Installing Vicwest profiles using exposed fastenersmakes for a quick installation therefore becominga much more cost effective alternative to a concealedfastening approach. Using the exposed fasteningsystem may also be a favourable choice if it issuspected that the building may experience futureadditions or expansions in which case an exposedfastening system will allow the panel to be easilyremoved and replaced to accommodate accordingly. Please refer to the Exposed Fastener VicwestDesign Guide for complete design and installationdetails.
