Victor Vasarely was born in Hungary in 1908. He
developed a mathmatically oriented type of abstract art in
the 1960’s called Op Art.

Vasarely worked as a graphic designer and began his career in Op Art with black and white shapes and
images.

Victor Vasarely died in his Paris studio in 1997 at the age of 89. He will long be remembered for his
contribution to Op Art.
