Robotics Team
Approximately 18 active membersEmbedded Developer Kits:– The Robotics team has created 10
kits that contain: Breadboard, Resistor/Capacitor kits,
Servo motor, AVR Microcontroller, In Circuit Serial Programmer (ICSP), DMM, LEDs…
– IEEE Members can check out kits for free in order to practice the basics of robotics and AVR Embedded Systems programming
Region V
We plan to participate in the 2015 Region V Robotics Competition– 5 Team members interested in attending the conference
As well as participating in the Circuits Competition– 2 Team members
In doing so, we have created a section of students dedicated to teaching software programming for engineering.
The main language for higher level software is Python, while embedded systems use C
Software Programming
The following is a Python script that creates a maze, while another function maps the maze
Mechanical Design
Mechanical Engineers design schematics on Solidworks which are then created in the machine shop
This picture is a shoulder joint for a mechanical arm, which the mechanical engineers will learn how to program using embedded C for microcontrollers and Python for higher level controls such as joysticks
