USA JUNIOR NATIONAL GOLF Elite Program
Led by PGA Golf Professional Steve Patterson
Hosted at Hiwan Golf Club The Elite Team program, a 6-month (24-week) training program designed specifically for juniors seeking a structured golf-training environment, is the fifth of five levels in the USA Junior National Program. Training is conducted in small groups by Certified USA Junior National Coach, Steve Patterson.
Elite Team members participate in structured weekly training sessions to fine-tune their technical golf skills, sport performance, and fitness. Participants will also have numerous opportunities to implement their skills during on-course activities. The coaching staff will also observe team members performance in tournaments as well. Elite team members will also have the opportunity to play in matches against other regional teams throughout the season.
Attitude, work ethic, and the desire to participate in a team sport setting are important for Elite Team participants. Team members are expected to display a passion for the game and have extensive experience in competitive golf events.
ELIGIBILITY
Our Regional Elite Team members are LEADERS and CHAMPIONS both on and off the course. USA National Team Coaches invite prospective Elite Team members based on their performance in USA National Golf Camps or national junior tournaments. Elite Team Members score from the mid 60’s to 70’s in competition and have a USGA handicap index below 5.0. Elite Team Members are also eligible to qualify for and compete in Regional and International Team Matches.

Pre Elite Program

The Pre Elite program, a 6-month (24-Week) training program designed specifically for juniors seeking a structured golf-training environment, is the fourth of five levels in the USA Junior National Program. Training is conducted in small groups by Certified USA Junior National Coach, Steve Patterson.
Pre Elite Team members participate in structured weekly training sessions to fine-tune their technical golf skills, sport performance, and fitness. Participants will also have numerous opportunities to implement their skills during on-course activities. The coaching staff will also observe team members performance in tournaments as well. Pre Elite team members will also have the opportunity to play in matches against other regional teams throughout the season.

ELIGIBILITY
Pre-Elite Team members have documented competitive success on the local and state levels. Pre-Elite Team Members should score from the mid 70’s to 80’s in competition or have a USGA handicap index between 4.0 and 10.0. Age is not a determining factor in team selection. 2014 TRAINING DATES & TIMES

Future Stars Program

The Future Stars program, a 6-month (24-Week) training program designed specifically for juniors seeking a structured golf-training environment, is the third of five levels in the USA Junior National Program. Training is conducted in small groups by Certified USA Junior National Coach, Steve Patterson.
Future Stars participate in structured weekly training sessions to fine-tune their technical golf skills, sport performance, and fitness. Participants will also have numerous opportunities to implement their skills during on-course activities.
Attitude, work ethic, and the desire to participate in a team sport setting are important for Future Stars participants. Future Stars are expected to display a passion for the game and have experience in competitive golf events. Juniors should have a desire to learn and work hard.
ELIGIBILITY
Future Stars should score from the low to mid 80’s to low 90’s in competition, or have a USGA handicap index between 10.0 and 18.0. Age is not a determining factor in participant selection, but training is targeted to juniors age 11 and above.

USA JUNIOR NATIONAL GOLF
TUITION
The monthly tuition for the six-month program for Elite, Pre-Elite and Future Stars Team athletes is $299.00.
Each athlete from the three program offerings will receive an Individualized Player Development Manual, USA National Team hat, and USA National Team golf bag and USA National Team golf balls. Elite Team members will also receive metal woods, irons, wedges, hybrids and putter along with USA Jr. Team clothing.
All Elite and Pre Elite level participants are eligible to attend Regional USA National Training Camps on a space available basis. These camps are typically offered in the winter twice a year in warm weather locations and are open to all Elite Team athletes.
The USA Junior National Golf Program is offered at golf courses throughout the United States and is the first nationwide junior developmental program in the US.
