The Family Protector Panic Button

The Family Protector app has a panic button that your child can hit if they run into trouble. Once they hit the button, Family Protector sends an emergency message along with your child’s location to the parent’s mobile numbers you have previously set. You can see a history of when your child used their panic button on the Alerts tab on the Family Protector website. How Does My Child Use the Panic Button?

Open the Family Protector app and tap Panic. When enabled, your child can use the panic button shortcut. All they have to

do is press their phone's power button 4 times in a row and Family Protector will trigger the panic button. Family Protector disables this feature by default

13

because it's very easy for kids to accidently bump their phone's power button a few times and send out false alarms.

To enable the panic button shortcut: 1. Open the Family Protector app on your child's phone. 2. Click Parent Settings and sign in with your username and password. 3. Tap Menu, then tap Settings. 4. Tap the checkbox next to Panic Button Shortcut.

About Check-ins

Family Protector check-ins make it easier for your child to keep you up to date on where they are. How to Check In? All your child has to do is open the Family Protector app and tap Check In. Family Protector sends you a message with your kid’s current location and also records this info on the Family Protector website in the Locations tab. Other ways to know where your child is Check-in is a great way for your child to let you know when they've reached their destination safely. However, you don't need your child to voluntarily share their location, you can get it yourself by using:

The location monitor NQFind

NQFind

NQFind provides your child's location whenever you want. All you need to do is send a text message to your child’s phone with "NQFind" as the message and Family Protector will reply to you with your child’s phone's current location. When you send NQFind text messages, your child will not see them in their message inbox. You can use NQFind with any of the parent numbers saved in your settings.

14

Note: NQFind does not report your child's location to the Family Protector website. Want to know more? Check out: Reports - Locations
