The Lansing Planning Board will hold public hearings on Wednesday, Novem-ber 7, 2018, at 6:30 p.m., Neighborhood Empowerment Center ConferenceRoom, 600 W. Maple Street (Corner of W. Maple and N. Pine Streets) to consid-er the following requests:
Z-6-2018. This is a request by Neogen Corporation to rezone the property at 522Lesher Place from “DM-3” Residential District to “D-1” Professional OfficeDistrict. The purpose of the rezoning is to permit the building at this locationto be used for additional office space to support the Neogen Corporation officesalready existing in the area.
Z-7-2018. This is a request by Andrew Pauly to rezone the two vacant parcelsof land at the northwest corner of W. Cavanaugh Road and Lowcroft Avenuefrom “A” Residential District to “C” Residential District. The purpose of therezoning is to permit the construction of a duplex on the subject property.

Notice is hereby given of the following public hearing to be held by the EastLansing City Council on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at 8:15 p.m., Council Cham-bers, 101 Linden Street, to consider the following:
A public hearing will be held to consider Ordinance 1416a, an Ordinance to Amend Section 50-94a of Division 3 – Special Use Permit – of Article II – Administration and Enforcement – of Chapter 50 – Zoning - and to add Division 7 - Medical Marihuana Provisioning Centers Overlay Districts – and Sections 50-801, 50-802 and 50-803 to Article VII – Other Districts – of Chapter 50 – Zoning - of the Code of the City of East Lansing to Allow for and Regulate Medical Marihuana Provisioning Centers.
The City of East Lansing will provide reasonable accommodations, such as in-terpreters for the hearing impaired and audio tapes of printed materials beingconsidered at this meeting, upon notice to the City of East Lansing, prior tothe meeting. Tu Thanh Nguyen, 32, of Sunnyvale, California, made two crucial mistakes while she was visiting Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore in Michigan on Sept. 19. First, Nguyen was hiking alone, reported WLUC News. But her fatal error was stopping at a point along the North Country Trail to take selfies, where she slipped and fell 200 feet to her death in Lake Superior. Two kayakers witnessed her fall and retrieved her body, which they moved to Chapel Beach. However, first responders were unable to revive her.
