based on your needs. All our Halls are self-catering to
encourage you to develop your self confidence and
independance, but if you can’t face cooking there is
always fresh food available on campus at student prices.
Living away from home for the first time can be a
daunting prospect, but in many cases the people you
meet in your Hall in first year will become friends for

Wolverhampton, just yards from St Peter’s
church, the oldest site in Wolverhampton,
and is now home to some of the city’s
most striking and modern architecture.
You have the greatest choice in the type
of accommodation on city campus; with
economy, standard and en-suite rooms
available.

City Standard (Lomas Street)If you’re looking forward to the independence of
student life but would prefer a smaller corridor and block
then perhaps our standard accommodation may be what
you are looking for.
Here 310 standard rooms in nine blocks are split into
corridors where you’ll share a bathroom and toilet with up
to six other students. Pop the kettle on in the kitchen and
you’ll soon get to know your new flatmates.
City Economy - (Randall Lines)This is a five storey building comprising of 285
rooms. Each corridor contains up to 12 bedrooms with
communal bathrooms and kitchen facilities. This is a
very social and interactive block which is ideal for
meeting new friends and keeping your expenses to a
minimum.

City En-suiteNorth Road Halls are the largest and newest Halls
on City Campus, offering 461 en-suite rooms in a
total of 13 blocks. Each corridor will share their
kitchen with up to six other students. The luxury of
en-suite bedrooms means you can spend as long
as you like getting ready for a night out (without
infuriating your flatmates!) whilst also being able to
impress them with your culinary skills in the shared
kitchen. And should you forget that essential
ingredient for your signature dish you can pop out
to the supermarket, 24 hours a day!

Compton ParkCampuscompton Park campus is home to the
university of Wolverhampton’s Business
School, and it’s likely you’ll stay here if
you’re studying marketing, business or
human resource management. if you
want the advantages of living close to
the city, but be surrounded by trees
instead of buildings, then these Halls
could be perfect for you.

your car with you to the University you can enjoy the
bonus of hassle-free parking on the Campus.
Compton has a couple of good local pubs offering an
alternative to the bright lights of the city centre. If your
own cooking or the campus food court fail to satisfy
your appetite there are local English, Thai, Indian and
Chinese restaurants where you can fill your belly.
A friendly communityIf you choose to live in the recently refurbished Halls
on the Compton Park Campus you’ll join a small
community of 118 students housed in three blocks.
The standard accommodation means that you’ll be
sharing your kitchen and bathrooms between 12
people, but the peaceful surroundings make the area
perfect for quiet study and relaxation.
You can pick up all the essentials locally without
venturing to the busy city centre, but you’re not so far

Gorway HallsThe 106 standard rooms of Gorway Halls are
separated into individual corridors for 6 students.
With communal bathrooms and kitchen facilities.
Student VillageThe Student Village offers the newest accommodation
at the University, with en-suite rooms for 338 students.
You’ll be sharing your kitchen and lounge space with
up to six students.
Burn some caloriesThe multi-million pound Sports Centre, an official
training base for the 2012 Olympics, has a 12-court
multi-activity sports hall, a six-lane floodlit athletics
track, all-weather floodlit pitch, throws and jumps area,
dance studio and swimming pool.
Campus lifeYou’ll find everything you need on site at Walsall
Campus; offering food from across the globe, a shop
for all the essentials, and of course the Learning
Centre, open seven days-a-week with expert help.
The friendly atmosphere will have you feeling at home
in no time.
If you want to explore further afield, Walsall town
centre is only a couple of miles away. You can be
tempted by the shopping or the growing choice of
bars, pubs, clubs, and restaurants. With its reputation
for having some of the country’s friendliest people, you
can unwind during the evening in good places and in
good company.

Walsall CampusAt Walsall campus you can choose between
standard and en-suite accommodation.
You’ll rub shoulders with students in music,
dance, sport, education, health, leisure,
tourism and hospitality, so a lively and fun
mix is guaranteed.

Telford Campustelford campus is set in the grounds of the
Grade ii listed, 18th century mansion,
Priorslee Hall.three miles from ironbridge,
the modern campus is home to a large
number of international students, so you’re
likely to make friends with people from all
around the world. You’ll study alongside
students of engineering, built environment,
and business, as well as those studying
certain computing and social work courses.

The Campus includes a restaurant and café on site,
which in addition to the Learning Centre and 24 hour
computer suite should help you make the most of your
studies.
Nine blocks of quiet en-suite accommodation offer
297 residents somewhere to study and relax. Corridors
are for four to six students, so head out to the town
centre together to get to know each other!
Intersite travel time between Telford and Wolverhampton
City Campus is approximately one hour.
For those more athletically minded there’s a football
pitch, basketball and tennis court all handily located
on campus, or for something a little different, Telford
offers bowling, ice-skating and skiing at one of the
UK’s only dry ski-slopes.
Running every 45 minutes, the University’s free shuttle
bus service will take you into the town centre, where
you can indulge your shopaholic side at the 150-store
shopping centre, or catch up on the latest blockbuster
at the cinema.

15 HoW to APPLY
Who can apply?When a Home or EU student has a CF (conditional firm
offer) they will be able to apply, be allocated a room
and accept the accommodation licence agreement to
reside within the Halls of Residence. This will enable
students to secure their accommodation prior to
receiving their examination results; therefore enabling
the University to secure bookings at a much earlier
stage within the accommodation process.
How to apply for accommodation
International studentsInternational students will be able to apply and be
allocated a room with a U (unconditional offer).
All students whether Home, EU or International will be
required to pay a deposit of £250.00 at the time of
accepting their offer of accommodation.

e-vision account or from the University accommodation
web pages: www.wlv.ac.uk/accommodation/applyyou can apply either on-line or manually.

Who can help?Whether you are having any problems within the
Halls of Residence or you want advice for finding
somewhere to live next year, drop by and speak to
our friendly staff, or give us a call. Accommodation
Services offices are open from 8.45am-5.00pm on
weekdays (offices are based on all sites).
In addition, each Campus has its own reception, open
from 9am-5pm. Caretaking and Security can be
contacted 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
