Jennifer Mytych – she has been awarded two Ministry of Science and Higher Education scholarships for her academic achievements. the winner of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education programme “Diamond Grant” for the project “Searching for new functions of the klotho protein in combating bacterial infections” as well as a grant in the Generation of the Future contest for the project “The identification of new hazards connected with the use of nanoparticles of gold, silver, silicon and nanodiamonds on the process of premature aging of human cells.”

Prof. Marek Koziorowski, Ph.D. (biological and veterinary sciences).The team supervised by Prof. Koziorowski was the first in the world to identify seasonal changes in carbon monoxide secretion in the eye.The discovery might prove to be a milestone in the development of new methods of treatment of autumn-winter depression in people.

Prof. UR dr hab. Łukasz Łuczaj – ethnobotanist, ecologist.Leading researcher of the world wild edible plants. Author of numerous scientific papers and books. Author of the “Lukasz Luczaj's Wild Dinner” programme. Scientific research in China and the Balkans.

Prof. Tadeusz Boruta Painter, art theorist and arts publicist, curator. Prof. Boruta’s works represent the Existentialist undercurrent of Symbolism associated with the Cracow figurativism group. He conducts theoretical research in the field of hermeneutics and theology of artwork.

Prof. Sylwester Czopek, Ph.D., an archeologist specializing in the archeology of the Bronze Age and early Iron Age and the protection of archeological cultural heritage; a museologist. Author and co-author of 220 scientific publications, including 11 books/monographs. He has uncovered and conducted fieldwork in a number of archeological sites in South-East Poland.

Prof. Marek Jan Olbrycht, Ph.D.Historian and archeologist, author of over 120 publications, including monographs on prehistoric Iran, co-author of the monumental History of Iran.Author of a pionieering study Alexander the Great and the Iranian World.

Prof. UR dr hab. Diana Gergova from the UR Institute of Archeology together with her research team made a sensational discovery of Thracian treasure in the village of Sveshtari in Bulgaria.
