TFT Office (3)R&D Manager
A head of TFT team is D.Sc(Tech) Karri Mikkonen and his responsibilities areplanning and execution of TFT stategy and a business plan. He also develops and manages relations to theuniversities and a steeringgroup of the network.
Sales Manager Network Coordinator
Karri has been a production manager at Flextronics, a director on product and services development at Sonera as well as a director of strategy at TeliaSonera. The last few years Karri has worked as a researcher at LUT and his research object hasbeen the systemic value component in customer value experience. Could be described as systemic value-in-use, emerging from good combined functionality in use of integrated products and services.
BBA Marianne Leistén is responsible for a general network coordination, relying strongly with TFT team and entire network of high level researchers and business actors.
Marianne’s previous career was in Machine Technology Center Turku Ltd, in several projects. Marianne has also worked as a Career Planner in employment project and as an Education Planner in Apprenticeship Office in Turku.
• One of the Turku region’s and Southwest Finland’s strongest business sectors are the maritime, metal and mechanical engineering industries.
• The research and teaching of universities form a basis for the growth of the region’s diverse business structure and the strengthening of itsexpertise and international competitiveness.
• For SMEs in particular, strengthening cooperation with universities is a central challenge and presents an opportunity for growth and development.
• The shortage of university level engineering education and highlyeducated experts are causing a bottleneck in the development of theregion’s manufacturing technology industry
