1. Login to UHMS system
Only students who have accepted their NUS offer are able to login to the system.
For new (non-matriculated) students:
Please go to https://uhms.nus.edu.sg/Pre-Matstudents/
If you had forgotten your Application No, please click here to contact your Faculty/School coordinator.
If you had forgotten your Password, please proceed to the Graduate Admission System to reset your
password.
For current (matriculated) students:
Please go to https://uhms.nus.edu.sg/students and log in using your NUSNET ID and Password.

2. Application
Terms & Conditions
Upon login please read the “Important Notes” before proceeding with your application. Ensure your
personal details reflected on the left menu are correct.

for more information relating to the hostel application process.
You may view the emails sent by the Hostel Admission Services from here.

3. Select Application
You may select the period that you are applying for by clicking the radio button and then click “Save &
Continue” to proceed.

4. Begin Application
Click “I Agree” if you are agreeable to the declaration and wish like to proceed with an application.
Otherwise, please do not continue any further and exit the portal.

5. Personal Particulars
Review your personal particulars and update the fields marked #. Click “Save & Continue” to proceed.

6. Upload Photo (For new students only)
Upload your photo (must comply with stated dimensions). Click “Save & Continue” to proceed.

7. Next-of-Kin Particulars
Review your next-of-kin particulars and update the fields marked #.
Click “Save & Continue” to proceed.

8. Health Declaration
State your health condition (if any). Otherwise, leave the field blank.
You may attach scanned supporting medical documents using the Supporting Documents function.
Please refer to point 14 of this manual for more details to attach documents. Note that you may still enter
into the UHMS system anytime before the application period is over to upload supporting documents.

9. Accommodation Preferences
You may select up to 3 accommodation preferences. If you would only like to apply only for one
accommodation, please leave the other preferences blank.
For students applying for the married apartments with spouse/ child, please attach supporting documents
via the Supporting Documents function. Note that you may still login to UHMS any time before the
application period is over to upload the supporting documents:-
Marriage Certificate (officially translated into English if in foreign language)
Children’s birth certificate (if with child)
Passport of spouse/child
ICA/MOM issued passes for Spouse/child. If unavailable, please provide air ticket as preliminary
proof that your spouse/child will be staying with you at the married apartments.

Note that if you selected this option, we would not consider you for any other accommodation if your
preferences are not available.

10. Accommodation Information
For students who have chosen the married apartments, please indicate the number of occupants (self,
spouse or/and children only).

11. Family Personal Details
For students who have indicated spouse or/and children as occupants, please fill up the family’s personal
details. You will be required to attach supporting documents as mentioned in step 9.

12. Programme Details
Students entering their last academic year, may indicate as per screenshot. You may attach the supporting
documents (if any).

13. Hostel Application Fee
You may pay the hostel application fee via the following modes:
- AMEX, VISA/ MasterCard Debit or Credit Card
- eNETS (Only for Singapore based account holders with internet banking facilities by DBS Bank,
United Overseas Bank (UOB), and Citibank Singapore)
For online payments, please disable your pop-up blocker before clicking on “Submit Payment”. (Note
that pop-up blocker may prevent your payment from being captured by the system).
Click “Submit Payment”. You will be directed to a secure website to make payment.

Please print out the receipt before proceeding onto the next step. You will not be able to view
this receipt once you click the Save & Continue Button.
Your Application status will be updated automatically as “Pending” if the payment is successful.
Important Note: If your status has not been updated to “Pending” after your payment, please do not
make another payment. You may submit a query at www.hosteladmission.nus.edu.sg to verify whether
your earlier payment was successful.

14. Supporting Documents
You may login to UHMS at any time during the application period to upload your supporting
documents. You may scan all your documents and save in the following accepted formats .docx,
.doc,.jpeg, .pif, .pdf. A maximum of 2 documents can be attached with a limit of 4 MB in total.
NOTE
Please consolidate your documents into a max of 2 files. The max file size should not exceed 4 MB.
If you encounter time-out message while uploading, you may save your attachments in 2 parts and
upload as Attachment 1 and 2. Due to limited space, please ensure that the documents are relevant to
the application you are submitting.

15. NUS Accommodation Offer
Students will be reminded to check their application status via their UHMS account or NUS email (current
students) or personal email address (new students). Students are to login to the UHMS portal to check
their application status during the results week. Refer to step 1 of this manual on the login procedures.
After login, click on the Application tab and check if the period offered is correct. Click on the radio
button and then click “Save & Continue” to proceed.

16. Accept or Decline Offer
Please indicate if you would like to accept/decline the NUS accommodation offer. Note that the
accommodation offered cannot be amended and/or transferred. Click “Confirm” to proceed.

17. Housing Agreement
Please click on the links to read and understand the Housing Agreement, Rules and Regulations and the
hostel rates. If you are agreeable to the rules/regulations and rates, click “I Agree” to proceed.

18. Complete the e-Orientation Module
You would be directed to the e-Orientation Module page. Please note that you have to complete the e-
Orientation Module in order to confirm your reservation.

19. Acceptance Fee Payment
Students are required to pay the Acceptance Fee of S$200 to confirm their accommodation. Please note
that this fee is non-refundable/non-transferable and would be forfeited if you fail to check-in your hostel
by the given deadline. This fee will also be used to offset your hostel fee once you have checked-in to the
hostel.
Only the following modes are accepted:
- AMEX, VISA/ MasterCard Debit or Credit Card
- eNETS (Only for Singapore based account holders with internet banking facilities by DBS Bank, United
Overseas Bank (UOB), and Citibank Singapore)
For online payment, please ensure to disable your pop-up blocker before clicking on “Submit Payment”.

may save your payment transaction reference or print screen as proof of successful payment.

Click “Submit Payment”. You will be directed to a secure 3rd party website to make payment.
After you have made payment successfully, print out the following Acceptance Fee Payment Receipt or
save as HTML/ Print screen file. You will not be able to view the payment receipt page once you close it.
You may click “Application Status” to print out the confirmed status of your offer. You may bring along
this copy and your Acceptance Fee Receipt when you check-in to the hostel. Your accommodation is now
confirmed.
Your application status will be updated automatically as “Successful” once the payment is completed.
Important Note: If your status has not been updated to “Successful” after completing your payment, please
do not make another payment. You may submit a query at www.hosteladmission.nus.edu.sg to verify
whether your earlier payment was successful.
