UCLA Hilgard Avenue Graduate Housing

SWA provided full landscape architectural services

for the redevelopment and design of new graduate

housing buildings at 720 & 824 Hilgard Avenue.

Redevelopment of the sites provided additional

affordable housing for single graduate students, which

was in short supply given the low vacancy rates and

high rents in West Los Angeles. The Hilgard properties,

located close to university research laboratories,

libraries, classrooms, and medical center facilities, offer

affordability, proximity, and convenience to the UCLA

student resident population. The project received LEED

Silver certification.
