TheU.S.SkiTeamandNationalNordicFoundationareselectingtwoservicestaffandoneTripLeadertothisyear'schampionshipsinFinland.ThepositionswillbefundedbyNationalNordicFoundation.Thepositionwillprovideinvaluableexperiencetoindividuals,theirclubs,andourdevelopingskination.Allapplicantsarewelcome.Theworkishardandthejobisrewarding.

TRIPLEADER:

TheTripLeaderwillbeinchargeofplanning,budgeting,reporting,andmanagingthetripwithplanningassistancefromtheU.S.SkiTeamDevelopmentcoach(BryanFish)andtheNationalNordicFoundation.

SERVICESTAFF:

TheservicestaffwillsupporttheTripLeaderwithmanagement,coaching,andlogistics.Staffsupportwillbeinchargeofskiselection,testingskisflexes,grinds,andwax.

Thedesiredcoachingapplicantisateamplayer,andshouldhavepriorexperienceparticipatinginmanycampsandracetripsinorganizationalandskiservicecapacity.Internationalexperienceispreferable,thoughnotrequisite.Applicantsshouldbecomfortable,clear,andeffectiveincommunicatingregularlywithathletesage15-17,andbewillingtoworklongdaysthatwillincludetalkingwithathletesaboutskiselection,testingskisflexes,grinds,andwaxes,withboththecoachesandathletes.AllapplicantsmustbelicensedU.S.Ski&SnowboardcoacheswithaminimumLevel100coaches’certification.Applicantsmusthaveavalidpassportthathasatleastsixmonthsofvalidityafterthefinaldayoftriptravel.Allcoachesonthistripmustbeabletodrivemanualtransmissions.
