So basically here I’ve made a basic outline of their bodies. This step is super important for three reasons:•It will be easier to add clothes once you know what their bodies look like. Clothes should be drawn to fit the body/ not for the body to fit them. •It helps you position the character how they will be standing.•You can always change these lines whenever you need (in fact you probably will) however they provide a nice outline for how the characters will look.
•(Don’t be afraid to draw boobs on the girls. Wendy is a child and so she has a relatively flat chest.)

How that I know my characters are positioned, I can add more to them including limbs.
Now, because of how they are standing, their upper arms are mostly hidden from view.

Next to start on the basic outline of the visible arms. Here’s a basic outline for the forearms.

Here I’m just continuing to draw the arms. I have also added hands and shaped the hands of the background hands a little more.

So here I’ve giving them a forearm. I’ve erased my guidelines but you can keep them if you wish.
(Sorry it’s so dark, I wanted to make sure it showed up. Lol)

So, here I’ve giving them hands. Because, you know, they need them.

Basically, I’ve done the best couple of steps only with the arms hidden in the back.
(So many steps with arms, I know, but this pose calls for it. Lol)

Basically I’ve gotten rid of the guidelines and cleaned things up a little bit.

Drink to your success thus far, or drown your sorrows like I do because I can’t draw. xD
And also to celebrate getting done with the arms. (They are seriously the hardest things!)

So here I’ve drawn up some outlines of their clothes. Outlines are great for understanding where things are going to be placed, blah blah blah.
STEP
5: FA
CE
I erased part of the guidelines where their hair will go.
STEP

Next I draw the outlines of their eyes and erase the guidelines some more.
Wendy has much large eyes than Peter so her outlines are way bigger.
STEP
5: FA
CE
Here I’ve just made the outlines a little more eye-like.

Run out of alcohol…
You’re on your own now.

(Don’t worry about the details to the clothes, I’ll focus on those soon enough)
Basically, you can give them faces now.
It’s it exciting!? They don’t look like aliens anymore! (:
STEP

CE
Here I’ve added the diamond shaped marks on their faces.
STEP

I made some basic hair outlines. Peter’s hair is pretty messy here but we’ll fix it up a little.
STEP

I gave Wendy her make up here, simply because I usually work on the face and hair together.

So I gave Wendy and Peter some sleeves several steps back while doing some basic outlines however I figured I’d wait to show this until I was ready to focus on clothing.
I’ve giving them both some details on their sleeves. (:

Finally give him some more detail and you’re done!
(Oh, and finishing the hands is a pretty good idea too!)
