A transfer based network has a few high

frequency routes. High frequencies and

good transfer points make it easy to

change lines. In this Halifax example

(left), transfer points are shown with

black circles. Riders from the Navy Line

could transfer to the Orange Line to

reach Downtown Halifax, or the Blue

Line for universities and hospitals.
