Introduction
ABAQUS will have two solvers. ABAQUS/Standard (Static L and NL) ABAQUS/Explicit (Dynamic L and NL)
ABAQUS can be used for both Static and Dynamic analysis of linear and nonlinear types.
ABAQUS will have good capability in handling contacts.
Also, it has CFD capabilities.

Following operations can be done for the geometries in ABAQUS/CAE
Creation of simple geometry. You can import the geometry (from CATIA,
UG etc). Edit/Cleaning up the geometries. Do the Booleans operations of geometry. Modifications of geometries even after the
mesh. (like resizing of fillets, holes and cut –outs etc).
