improving ones performance in all
aspects of the technological world

Kindergarten Technology
• When I was in kindergarten, we used old school Macintosh’s
• Everything was saved on a floppy disk
• Memories and or videos were captured on Betamax/VHS cassettes
High School Technology
• There were five to six computers throughout upper school that had Apple and PC computers
• In the classroom, teachers were allowed to rent laptops for each student
• Each classroom, had their own television and video player
College Technology• Most lecture rooms have a
Visualizer or overhead projector• In the library there are Apple and PC
Computers• A lot of assignments are submitted
online via Laulima• Flash drives are used to save information
A Vivid Technology Learning Experience
• Children and parents are able to access Kidbiz to enforce their learning from the classroom
• Students can use Kidbiz for anything like reading, writing, typing, science, etc.
• The computer differentiates the students by allowing them to work at their individual performance level
A technology I want to use in my classroom…
• I would like to use an electronic whiteboard• I would like all students to have a iPad so
each student can have access to the internet in their palms
My Vision of the Classroom
of the Future• I would like all
assignments submitted electronically through a online site similar to Laulima
• Most handouts and in-class work will be on this online site
A Challenge for Teaching• Although technology is
a great learning aid, I would like to encourage students to do things the “old school” way meaning understanding concepts/principles and being able to solve problems without easily getting answers off of the internet
