The Appeasement of Hitler
In the 1930’s, Hitler was appeased. An appeasement is basically “giving a bully
what he wants or what he is asking for. Hitler introduced
his built up army in the Spanish civil war. France and Britain ignored the breaches
of the Versailles Treaty. Hitler also broke the treaty when he invaded Australia and declared Anschluss.
France and Britain still did nothing. even though it can
be argued, Britain and Frances’ actions were
considered appeasement.

Cash and carry actThe cash and carry act took
place in 1937. The US was not allowed to supply any
weapons for other countries that were involved in the
war. “Cash and carry” was the name of the amendment in which stated that other countries could buy guns from America. The British ended up not winning the
war cause they had no weapons. To solve the
problem the “lending lease” act was passed. This made it so that they could buy now
and pay later.
