This masked man used a custom River Bug to catch
this Cat. For those who are after Catfish, this is a
great bait for them! When fishing for Smallies, and
you end up catching a Cat you will have to move
because any Cat there will take your jig pronto.
Frank was plagued with mosquitos… hence the
mask!

Thomas has clinical proof of this
Large Mouth Bass. He is a die-hard
angler and prefers Black Bear Jigs.
They catch fish and are super
strong, which means lots of fish per
jig! Thomas enjoys the outdoors and
really knows how to fish, as you can
find him all over my website.

River Bugs Go Salt Water
Danny and Alex took the
Swim Jigs a fishin’ in the
Pacific. The first fish is a
Barracuda followed by a
Calico Bass. Alex is
holding a Calico with
Danny doing the great
camera work.
They said lots of fish took
a liking to the traditional
fresh water baits.
This trip opens up a
whole new world for

I’m proud to say I’m in
FLW Magazine. I’m in the
July Issue for 2017. The
article, entitled “Hair Jigs,”
authored by Curtis
Niedermier features
photos and a short write-
up of four of my hand-tied
jigs. The four featured jigs
include Scruffy, Rabbit Swim Jig, Fox Furry Critter, and the Black Bear Jig. I
was interviewed in April, 2017 and asked to make four jigs to send in for
photos. The quotes are my own words stated during the interview.

Hey Jim, hope all is well with you. Thought you might
enjoy seeing these 12" perch I caught on your
number 9 crappie jigs through the ice. Just goes to
show you your jigs are not just for summer and not
just for crappies. Thanks for your great products.

This is Tom’s Goby Getter jig AFTER it caught TWENTY Bass.
Tom said it worked great and ordered more! This version is the for-runner of the
Goby Getter and a true testament to the durability of the jig.
Just un-hook and throw out for another.
You can have this version of the Goby… JUST ASK!! ~ Nov. 2016

My friend Dave was catching Bass and Walleye on this jig and having a great day of fishing… when this God awful
“snapper” got the jig caught in the side of its face! After a stare-down the turtle
thankfully scratched it from its ugly mug.
Remember that old saying… “Whatcha fishin’ for?” – Anything that’ll bite!
1/16 oz. Furry Critter
My son Steve, and a friend, caught 16 of these brutes over 20” in one
day on Swim Jigs! They were custom made for him. He adds a
trailer to an all-white or all-brown jig and throws them into cover.
A mouth FULL of crayfish and he still went after a Swim Jig ~ July, 2015
Otto caught his Smallie on a White Swim Jig. Steve saw a trailing fish and dropped a 3/32oz Black River Bug into its eager mouth for another DOUBLE catch. TIP: Many times the hooked fish is not alone, so keep a River Bug handy at all times!
He looks tired. I know I am! He’s In!!!
Now stay there! Where’s the dock?

Jason and his partner won the Cabela’s Tournament in May 2014. They also broke a tourney record by weighing in 5 fish totaling 30 lbs. They were aided by some of Jimmy D’s custom tied jigs. BIG congrats to the skilled fisherman!

Skill
It’s hard to believe you can
land a fish like this with NO
leader, NO net, just LOTS of
SKILL by my son Steve. The
fish is estimated at over 25 Lbs.
The True Story Behind This Photo
The fish was a respectable 19”, but what he tried to was
amazing. I was fishing with my son, Steve, on a small
gentle flowing river. We were working some fishy
looking banks with 1/16 oz. Black River Bugs. I
overshot a cast by a few inches and landed the “Bug” on
the sand shore instead of the water’s edge. The Smallie
(shown) tried to beach himself after it. I could see
almost the whole fish in his frantic efforts. I nudged the
“Bug” into the water. He grabbed it instantly.
This was proof to me that fish can indeed see above the
water. After Steve and I shared a good laugh we set the
adventurous fish free
Good Fishin, - Jimmy D.
This River Bug is on a short term loan to be used only for
this picture. My long time friend, Frank, has caught his
biggest Walleye ever on this very jig. A whopping 33” –
he caught other big fish with it but after the Biggie he
retired it. I told him I would make more jigs just like it. He said “OK fine, but I want that one back.”
If you want a jig like his, order one. Just tell me “One like
Frank’s!”
