Exploiting objectives• Word shuffle – put objective on board but with words in wrong order• Word delete – put objective on board but with some words missing• Word excess – put objective on board with additional unnecessary

words included and ask pupils to delete those they consider to be superfluous• Word focus – underline most important word in the objective and get

pupils to use in a sentence of their own devising• Red herrings – three objectives for lesson but only one of them is the

real deal
