Description of Line
A line can be thought of as points so close together that they lose their individual identity and form a new entity.

A line is a form with width and length, but no depth. Artists use lines to create edges, the outlines of objects. A line is created by the movement of the artist's pen.
Line direction
The direction of a line can show the mood of the certain image.
Examples of certain lines
Horizontal lines are calm and quiet.

Vertical lines show more of a potential for movement.

While diagonal lines strongly show movement and give more of a feeling of action to a picture.

The line is apart of every shape, it is basic, but important.
