My vision of this future:I was driving home and my car pulled into my drive, but my garage door was mad with me because I parked on the street yesterday, so it wouldn't open.I left the car and went into the house (had to spend 10 minutes convincing my front door I really was me because my NFC door key didn't work because my mobile had run out of battery) and wanted a snack, except my fridge knows I'm on a diet and was speaking to my scales and knows I'm not hitting weight targets, so it won't open. My toaster isn't working anyway because it discovered my server logs and saw I was researching buying a new toaster, so it's in a permanent sulk with me. My tv wouldn't turn on because it's limiting me to television only after I've worked out. My rowing machine is beeping like mad because I haven't been on it in 7 days, and I know I have to do at least half an hour rowing before it'll tell the TV to turn on. Even once I've done that I've got to wait 2 hours until it's dinner time, when my fridge will open (only the meat and vegetableshelves) unless I manage to lose enough weight rowing that when I get on the scales I can convince the scales to tell the fridge that I've lost enough weight and deserve a snack. Exhausted and fed up, I went to bed early.The horror!!!!!26

I leave you with a word of warning: dont let your list of requirements become a wish list. Keep your requirements to a minimum, but at the same time keep an eye on the future. Its a fine line to walk. On the one hand, you dont want to pay for functionality you will never use. On the other, you dont want to be stuck with a content management system that no longer meets your needs.56
